Position: Maintenance Planner/Parts Coordinator
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Reporting to: General Manager
Location: Rocky View County, AB

The Maintenance Planner/Parts Coordinator is responsible for establishing and managing the facility’s long term/short term maintenance planning, scheduling, work order systems and processes.  The position is expected to be a hands-on role and will be asked to provide support of maintenance work within the facility.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountable to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of optimal system and personnel planning and scheduling, becoming a subject matter expert on CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) utilization, and develop a wide knowledge and understanding of effective maintenance systems and methods.
  • Is responsible for providing optimized maintenance plans and schedules for predictive, preventive, routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance services to production, utility operations and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to equipment and systems plant wide.
  • Acts as the coordinator for planned activities and is one of the principal contacts between the maintenance, corporate engineering, and operations teams.  The planner helps to ensure the area, department, or facility in which they are assigned, receives professional maintenance service in a timely manner to meet cost, delivery and performance goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development of the maintenance group/organization and related guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Evaluates and schedules maintenance work utilizing CMMS software.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities for 3rd party maintenance service providers.
  • Compile and provide reports related to area of responsibility, act as the subject matter expert for Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to effectively to accomplish and document required maintenance in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Will work with all plant groups & levels and within each of the aspect of the equipment maintenance team, including suppliers and OEM representatives, contractors and safety systems support vendors, internal and external auditors, and all SQF, GMP and
  • Process all incoming requisitions for parts in coordination in Limble with the Maintenance Supervisor and the maintenance team.
  • Receive, sort and catalogue all incoming & outgoing parts
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a parts room, tool room, warehouse, or other locations
  • Maintain records of amount, kind, and location of parts, supplies and materials
  • Prepare requisitions and order to replenish parts, supplies and materials.
  • Assist in the monitoring of daily, weekly, yearly PM programs.
  • Assist in the scheduling of preventative maintenance with the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring parts supplies and materials are available
  • Developing and maintaining the filing system for Maintenance documents and records including all PM records.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safe Quality Food requirements and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

 

  • Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient in Limble or other CMMS systems
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to work within a budgetary constraint
  • Experience and competency with Microsoft Office to intermediate level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required, and Parts Certification, Business Administration or related diploma preferred
  • 5 years working experience in a Parts coordinator role or a related field

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly $29.00 per hour
